Alba Garrote de Barros holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Salamanca (2022), and a Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM, 2023). She is currently pursuing her doctoral thesis titled "Impact of Concurrent Genetic Alterations and New Therapeutic Targets in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and its Richter Transformation", funded by a PIPF-CAM 2023 grant and group resources. Her research is supervised by Dr. María Hernández, Dr. María Linares, and Dr. Joaquín Martínez, within the Hematologic Tumors Group at H12O/CNIO.
