I was initially trained in Prof. Manlio Ferrarini at Istituto nazionale per la ricerca sul cancro-IST in Genova. I was initially involved in studies on lymphomas in immunodeficient patients, particularly Burkitt lymphoma.More lately my interest turned into the study of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, a field of which Icontributed with very valuable observations and more than 90 publications.
