Sunil Acharya, PhD, Principal Institute Research Scientist in the laboratory of Dr. Katy Rezvani at MD Anderson Cancer Center, earned his doctoral degree in Cancer Biology from the MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. His research focuses on advancing cellular therapies, with a particular emphasis on harnessing Natural Killer (NK) cells as therapeutic agents. He leads the preclinical development of the CD70 CAR-NK project, which has progressed to a Phase I/II clinical trial targeting both hematologic malignancies and solid tumors.
