Prof. Sarka Pospisilova works as vice-rector for research in Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, Head of the Center of Molecular Biology and Genetics an the Department of Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology, and Head of the Department of Medical Genetics and Genomics, both at Medical Faculty MU and University Hospital Brno. She is also Head of the Center of Molecular Medicine at the Central European Institute of Technology.
She is a vice-chair of EHA SWG on CLL (the European Research Initiative on CLL - ERIC), board member of the Czech Society for Genetics and Genomics, Czech Society for Gene and Cellular Therapy and the Czech Society on CLL, and member of the Czech Hematological Society. The research interests of Prof. Pospisilova are focused on the genetics and genomics of hematologic malignancies and an applications of genomic approaches in hematologic research and diagnostics. With her team, she coordinates the ERIC TP53 Network and ERIC Recommendations for TP53 mutation analysis, and performs a research on anti-oncogene TP53´s role in the pathogenesis of CLL.
